LONDON: A good news for the tech savvies has come from a technology event that United Kingdom will need about 7,50,000 digitally skilled workers by 2017.
In a scenario where smartphones, tablets and digital devices have seen a boom, the report by O2 is significant.
Most of the teens in the kingdom are new addicted to digital devices. So to keep the up pace with the rest of the globe, UK needs massive investment to development the digital force.
“This represents a substantial opportunity for young people, as the research suggests that one fifth of these jobs (between 169,000 and 182,000) will be ideally suited to the current generation of computer-savvy kids,” The Independent reports.
 The report on digital workforce was developed the Development Economics on behalf  O2 has made three recommendations as reported by the British daily:
- Greater collaboration between government and business to improve awareness of digital as a career path for young people.
- Businesses and industry to increase support for the delivery of digital skills education in schools.
- Backing from government and businesses to increase engagement in digital skills exchange programmes to encourage small businesses to better support and offer young people work experience.
