FAISALABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz government says that elimination of corruption and theft in power sector are among its top priorities.
“The government is committed to eliminate corruption and theft in power sector,” says outspoken leader andĀ State Minister for Water and Power Chaudhary Abid Sher Ali.
Sher vowed that misappropriationā abuse of powers and causing losses to the national kitty would not be spared even if it was done by anyone.
“Executive Engineer and Sub Divisional Officer would be taken to the task if stealing of electricity is detected in any area,” he added.
He revealed a new mechanism for consumers complaints in the power distribution companies.
“All distribution companies have been asked to place complaint boxes in front of the offices of SDOsā XENsā and other functionaries so that consumers could lodge their complaints freely.”
