Islamabad: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar pressed all political parties to speak truth in order to save Karachi from turmoil.
In a session of National assembly, Chaudhry Nisar said that only truth can save Karachi from turmoil. He stated that he never said that Muhajir Republican Army does not exist.
The interior minister clarified his stance and said that the reports submitted to Attorney General Munir A Malik went without his approval. The reports claim that on identification, legal action must be taken against the group. It states further, “All-out efforts are required to identify the members of the Muhajir Republican Army and action taken against them under the law”.
Chaudhry Nisar claimed that the reports were not for the Supreme Court, as it was only for administrative and intelligence purpose.
Many political parties had expressed concerns over the report and the mention of an unknown group. “There was mention of the Muhajir Republican Army in an administrative meeting, but the report was presented to the Supreme Court without my permission”.
The Interior Minister has also requested the apex court to take the document back. The new group Muhajir Liberation Army has also been mentioned. Chaudhry Nisar further claimed that no one should force him to expose why half of the metropolis have been shutdown.
