ISLAMABAD: In order to promote quality education in the field of Business and Finance, National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, and Institute of Business and Finance (IBF), Lahore, joined hands.
This partnership took place in a ceremony where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the NUML and IBF for academic collaboration between both the institutions, today.
The MOU was signed by the Rector NUML, Maj Gen (R) Masood Hasan and Chairman IBF, Mr Kaleem ul Haq. The signature ceremony was attended by the Director General (DG) Brig Azam Jaml, Director Academics Col (R) Syed Jawaid, Director Exams Bashir Ahmed, Dean Management Sciences Dr Rasheed Ahmed Khan, Director IBF Aftab Ahmed Khan and other officials and faculty members of both institutions.
Rector NUML Maj Gen (R) Masood Hasan while talking at MoU signature ceremony said that “nations that tightly carry the cause of research and innovation, they are destined to be successful, developed and blessed but nation who exclude research and innovation from their lives they are buried under the dust of oblivision”.
He suggested to the students “you should develop the habit of research and innovation in the areas you like the most. You may fail in the early attempts but this failure would ultimately lead you to greater success. The one who falls is not defeated, the one who falls and rise is also not defeated but the one who falls and keeps lying is the one who is defeated”.
Speaking at occasion Chairman IBF, Mr Kaleem ul Haq, said that “our aim is to serve our countrymen and provide them the best academic facilities and support”. He said “It is aim of the institution that under the guidance of NUML, such an enabling environment should be provided to the students that they pass out as successful business and finance professionals and contribute into the betterment of the country as the country is in the dire need of such professionals”.
DG Brig Azam Jamal said that “such academic ventures provide opportunities to one institution to get benefit from the experienced and qualified faculty and professionals of the other institutions”. “NUML has expertise in imparting quality education in the field of languages, Social Sciences, IT and Management Sciences and this collaboration would promote business and accountancy education in Lahore and adjacent areas”, he added.
Talking to scribe, Mr Aftab Khan Director IBF, told that the institution has initially started journey with the offering of MBA, M.Com., BS Accounting & Finance and BBA as affiliated programs with NUML.
