WASHINGTON: As we are getting close to launch its first device of the year Apple iPhone 5S, a new report claims that iPhone 5S will feature 128 GB storage capacity.
Just few days before leaked images unveils the design and color of the Appleās upcoming device.
Now just few weeks remaining in the launch of Appleās first device of the year, hints and clues are coming from which we can predict the device.
Rumors of the next-generation iPhone have been rampant as the alleged Sept. 10 release draws nearer. Many rumors point towards the hardware components of the handset and several leaked images show what the handset may look like.
Up until now, all previous iterations of the iPhone were available with a maximum of 64GB internal storage, without the option to expand the memory using a microSD card. Many customers use their handsets to download big media files such as music and video, which they use it on-the-go. A recent report now suggests that Apple may also launch a larger-capacity iPhone with 128GB of internal storage.
“In a report obtained by AppleInsider on Thursday, well-informed KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo offers his predictions on Apple’s anticipated next-generation iPhone, including a new 128GB storage option and a gold colorway,” reports AppleInsider.
Apple launched the iPad 4 with a maximum of 64GB on-board storage. However, in February this year, the company launched a 128GB version of the tablet and, therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if Apple launches the next-generation iPhone 5S with more storage space.
The Apple Insider report also highlights Kuo’s predictions that the upcoming iPhone will have a new A7 processor with 1GB of RAM. Kuo also suggests that Apple will tweak the rear-facing camera, where the sensor will remain the same as the one found on the iPhone 5, but the camera will use a larger f2.0 aperture lens assembly with dual LED flashes.
Apple has an event scheduled for Sept. 10 where the next-generation iPhone 5S and the budget iPhone 5C are expected to make an appearance. Apple has already released the beta version of the iOS 7 and rumors suggest that the Gold Master version of the operating system will debut on Sept. 5. The upcoming iPhones will most likely be the first devices to get the new iOS 7.
Sept. 10 is just a few weeks from now, so it will be just a little bit longer before Apple takes the wraps off the next-generation iPhones.
