ISLAMABAD: Accepting demand of opposition parties especially Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League led government decides to set up an special committee to probe into rigging allegations in polls.
PTI and other political parties have repeatedly expressed their doubts and voice against the rigging in general elections on May 11.
Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan says that government was ready to interrogate the rigging allegations and a special National Assembly committee would be set up.
“We would cooperate in the investigations and all political parties should give thier names for the committe,” he further said.
Meeting of the proposed committee has been summoned on Friday to further discuss the line of action on rigging allegations.
