ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar refused considering any policy for immediate granting ‘Most Favoured Nation (MFN)’ status to India till resolution of several other important issues.
Finance Minister highlighted some significant features of federal government’s for regional and international trade while talking with media persons.
He said that Pakistan government planned the enhancement of regional trade and completion of Gwadar Port as an economic corridor with China with enrichment of trading with South East and Central Asian countries.
Dar added that concrete steps will be taken for stabilisation of local currency against US dollar as well as stoppage of gold smuggling from bordering countries.
He said that Pakistan federal government is acquiring peace and security situation in the country to attract foreign investment and strengthen the economy.
Moreover, the finance minister said that elimination of energy‚ extremism and terrorism issues are on the priorities of the government.
