ISLAMABAD: Acting chairman of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Aslam Khaliq has resigned from his post, Attorney General told the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
AG was giving government’s respond on the Supreme Court’s notice over deterioration of PIA.
Hearing the suo moto case on irregularities in PIA, Cheif Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry observed that PIA was on the verge of deterioration.
Following the resignation of the acting chairman, the board of PIA is working to appoint the new chairman on permanent basis.
