Facing a legal quagmire after ruling the country for nine years, former dictator Pervez Musharraf has got a respite from a court at least in financially.
An anti terrorism court in Rawalpindi orders to restore the freeze assets of the former president after resuming the hearing of Benazir Bhutto Murder Case this morning.
Earlier, the court had ordered to freeze all assets of Musharraf after declaring him absconder. However, he has filed a plea to restore his assets.
The assets include a farm house in Chak Shahzad and plots.
Earlier, former president was produced in the court amid high security in the court of Justice Habib Rahman. Musharraf will be indicted in the Benazir murder case on August 6.
