LAHORE: In a bid to match the working way of education department with changing trends of Information Technology, Punjab government launches an Online Colleges Admission System for about 200 public colleges.
According to state media, Punjab Information Board is running this project as a pilot project for the provincial government of Punjab.
The project has been launched in a time when boards of secondary education across the province have announced their results.
All passing students of matriculation could apply for the admission online, the officials said.
The move would facilitate students who had to visit several colleges to collect information regarding admission by visiting each college one by one.
The project is quite large in its nature giving it an edge to Punjab as the pioneer province of the country of introducing such system.
