LAHORE: Chief Minister of Pakistan’s largest populated province Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan Muslim League N (PML-N) will set new record of public service.
In his meeting with the party assembly members from Rawalpindi division he said that new examples of transparency, merit and supremacy of law and justice will be established in the province.
He said that an effective strategy is being evolved at the national level to cope with challenges like load-shedding and terrorism and a comprehensive policy will be devised with the consultation of all stakeholders.
According to TheNewsTribe’s correspondent from Punjab’s capital city Lahore, Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah Khan, Rana Mashhood Ahmed, Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar, Sher Ali Khan, Chief Secretary, Provincial Secretaries and administrative and police officers of Rawalpindi division were also present.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the people has reposed confidence in Pakistan Muslim League-N and given it a historic mandate. He said that there is a need to serve the masses with commitment, honesty and dedication. The Chief Minister said that people have high expectations of elected representatives and they should spare no effort in public service and solution of people’s problems.
He said that the process of introducing land record information management system in the whole province will be completed by the end of next year which will rid the people of Patwari culture. He said that PML-N government will not tolerate corruption.
Shahbaz Sharif said that former federal rulers set records of loot and corruption during their tenure and that is why people conducted their strict accountability in the general elections.
“Corrupt elements and black sheep will not be tolerated in government institutions and stern action will be taken against them under the law”.
He said that a vigorous campaign against power and gas theft is continuing in Punjab and legal action is also being taken against the factory owners involved in theft of electricity and gas while power and gas theft of millions of rupees has been detected so far.
The Chief Minister said that the crackdown against gas and electricity thieves will continue without any discrimination.
