ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau has brought back Former chief of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Tauqir Sadiq on Monday night‚ who is the main accused in corruption case.
Tauqeer Sadiq will be presented before Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) and application will be filed in court for 14 days remand, NAB officials said.
Former OGRA chief Tauqir Sadiq has been handed over to NAB officials by UAE authorities‚ who is main accused in 82 billion rupees OGRA corruption case.
Sadiq was taken to Pakistan by a private airline flight on Monday night.
NAB investigative office Waqas Khan has brought back Tauqeer Sadiq to Pakistan and transferred the accused to Rawalpindi cell.
Former Prime Ministers of Pakistan Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf are also co-accused in the case being investigated by the NAB.
