LAHORE: With a toughest challenge to end crimes in the biggest province of the country, Inspector General Khan Baig takes charge of his seat this morning.
He laid out his priority saying that police would rely on intelligence agencies to control terrorism in the province.
Khan was appointed as the police chief of Punjab a couple of days back.
After taking charge of his post, Khan Baig vowed to bring such changes in the tradition and unfriendly even scary culture of police stations that all citizens could get justice.
He also said that committees would be set up to control crimes and to maintain check and balance inside the police department.
Joining chorus of his predecessors with same claims, Khan also assured that political appointments and transfers would not be made.
