ISLAMABAD: State Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources of Pakistan Jam Kamal Khan on Saturday has ensured maximum support for Balochistan government to initiate joint work on Reko Diq Gold Project.
The state minister vowed to respect decisions of provincial administration after meeting with Balochistan’s Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik in Islamabad.
Federal and provincial setups have agreed to form a joint working group for the continuation of Reko Diq Gold Project in in Chaghai district.
It is pertinent to note, the annual production of the Reko Diq project is estimated at 200,000 tons of copper and 250,000 ounces of gold from 600,000 tons of concentrate.
Moreover, Reko Diq is a small deserted town in Chagai District, situated in Balochistan province of Pakistan and bordering with Iran and Afghanistan.
