ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Religious Affairs has dealt the Hajj summary in all manners with 20 per cent of reduction in quota after final approval of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Ministry of Religious Affairs has sent Hajj summary to PM’s secretariat which was finally approved by Nawaz Sharif.
According to summary, the number of Pakistani pilgrims in Hajj gathering will be 143000 including 86000 from government and 57000 from private quotas.
It is pertinent to note, decrement in Hajj quota has reduced the number of Pakistani pilgrims from 180,000 to 144,000 as per announcement of Saudi Arabian government.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia has reduced the Hajj quota for the pilgrims from the Muslim world by 20 per cent due to the ongoing expansion project of the Masjid-e-Haram.
