LONDON: British Senior Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Sayeeda Warsi confirmed that London Metropolitan Police is taking serious steps in Imran Farooq murder case while British government cannot intervene in the case.
While talking to media on prestigious event of World Congress for Overseas Pakistanis, the senior minister clarified that Scotland Yard Police is independently continuing investigation and government is not allowed to intervene in the process.
Sayeeda Warsi said that she does not believe conspiratorial theory and British government is trying its level best to prevent incidents of hatred against Muslims.
Some sources revealed that London Police consulted the wife of murdered Imran Farooq in some related issues but avoided to expose the details.
However, it is cleared that London police exchanged information regarding the case’s after arrestment and release on bail of Pakistani orgin Iftikhar Hussain.
Recent statement by the British senior minister clarified that British government is not involved in any conspiracy matters in the case.
Earlier, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain alleged that conspiracies have been made on national and international levels which British government refused.
London Police has also imposed restriction over Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and 5 other prominent leaders to leave United Kingdom till next order.
The MQM prominent leader’s body was found with multiple stab wounds and head injuries on September 16, 2010, outside his home at Green Lane, Edgware, North London.
Deceased Dr Imran Farooq was deputy convener of the party, technically the next predecesser to the MQM chief Altaf Hussain. He was the co-founder of All Pakistan Mohajir Students Organisation (APMSO).
