Cardiff: Shikhar Dhawan shines to guide India a comfortable 9 wicket victory against Sri Lanka in second Semi final of International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy played at Wales stadium Cardiff.
India successfully chased 182 runs total on losing 2 wickets. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma provided India 77 runs start. Rohit Sharma after making 33 runs becomes the victim of Angelo Mathews. Dhawan scored  half century. He scored 68 runs while his partner Virat Kohli made unbeaten 58 runs to guide India a comfortable 9 wicket victory in the Semi final.
Angelo Mathews and Jeevan Mendis took one wicket each for Sri Lanka.
Earlier India won the toss and elected to field first. Sri Lanka top order collapse as they have lost top 3 wickets at the score of 41 runs. Sri Lanka head another blow when its star batmen Tillakaratne Dilshan retired hurt. Mahela Jayawardane and skipper Angelo Mathews showed some resistance on the crease. Mathews stuck 51 runs while Jayawardane scored 35 runs. Sri Lanka manages 181 runs on loss of 8 wickets.
Ishant Sharma and Ravi Chandern Ashwin took 3 wickets for India.
With this victory over Sri Lanka, India will face the host England in the Final match of ICC Champions trophy.
