ISLAMABAD: Shun at the sky rocketing prices of commodities in the markets, Supreme Court of Pakistan observes that imposition of only 1 percent GST has raised prices of eatable up to 15 percent.
The judges hearing the suo moto cased showed their anger over the authorities over failure in controlling prices.
They observed this while the Supreme Court resumed the hearing of a suo moto case regarding the imposition of GST on petroleum products by FBR‚ in Islamabad today.
A three member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is hearing the case.
