QUETTA: Bail plea of military dictator Pervez Musharraf in Akbar Bugti murder case has been rejected by Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Tuesday.
Judge Mohammad Ismail has announced the decision after the completion of applicant’s counsel Mohammad Ilyas’ arguments.
However, ATC court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for retired Gen Pervez Musharraf, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former governor Owais Ghani and former deputy commissioner of Dera Bugti Abdul Samad Lasi after they failed to appear before the court.
Akbar Khan Bugti, head of Balochistan’s Bugti tribe, was killed in in his cave in Kohlu, about 150 miles east of Quetta in the tenure of military dictator Pervez Musharraf on August 26, the incident leads to widespread unrest in the area since Bugti’s death.
