ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed federal cabinet members on Monday to devise action plan within 15 days in order take further steps to achieve targets rapidly.
First meeting of National Economic Council for the briefings of elimination of energy crisis, budget, departments’ maintenance, employment, law and order establishment and cooperation with provincial government is underway under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He said that member will be removed from his responsibility if failed to perform qualitative services as per requirement and each member will be reviewed in every 3 months.
Sharif urged the members to take effective step to convert public sectors into profitable entities, otherwise these should be handed over to private sector.
While addressing to the members in Islamabad, PM Sharif condemned the US drone attack, after taking charge of his government, termed it as violation of national sovereignty and the government has finalised a policy to counter these kinds of attacks in future.
During the meeting, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has presented budget proposals while Minister of Water and Power delivered his briefing on the elimination plans for energy crisis.
Moreover, the cabinet was taken into confidence by PM on elimination of load shedding, departments’ maintenance, employment, law and order establishment and cooperation with provincial government.
