KARACHI: Muttahida Deeni Mahaz (MDM) nominated candidate Aurangzeb Farooqi has leaded over MQM’s Syed Waqar Hussain Shah on Saturday’s, as unofficial results came out after re-polling on PS-128 constituency in Karachi.
According to unofficial and non-finalised results came out from 6 polling stations of PS-128 constituency, MDM’s Aurangzeb Farooqi is successful to gain the confidence of the 2688 voters while MQM’s Waqar Hussain is on second position by taking 350 votes.
According to Dunya News reports, MQM’s candidate Hussain is leading the electoral scenario in PS-128 by scoring 23822 votes while MDM’s Aurangzeb Farooqi is on score of 23570 votes yet as per unofficial results.
Earlier, ECP officials described that more than 9,500 registered voters will cast their votes from 8am till 5pm evening, under the tight security arrangement of police, rangers and army.
However, the competition for the provincial seat was started between Waqar Hussain of Muttahida Quami Moverment (MQM) and Aurangzeib Farooqi of Muttahida Deeni Mahaz (MDM).
Meanwhile, Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) had announced to boycott the election process.
Moreover, Muhammad Yameen, District Returning Officer of Malir area said that security arrangements have been tighten in order to conduct the free and fair re-election in a peaceful environment.
