Karachi: Alleging Sindh government support to gangs in the metropolis, Muttahida Qaumi Movement demands of newly elected prime minister and chief justice to take notice of killing and abducting its workers.
MQM, which is considered the most organized party in the port city, had called for a ‘Mourning Day’ on Thursday during which major trade centres remained close while traffic was thin on roads.
Addressing a press conference at MQM’s headquarter, Coordination Committee member Khalid Maqbook Siddiqi alleged that MQM workers were being killed after kidnapping.
Claiming to be against division of southern province of Sindh, he, however, views that Karachiites have to make the decision now.
“Lyari is no more a stronghold of Pakistan Peoples Party and it should avoid patronizing terrorists,” Siddiqi further said.
