ISLAMABAD: “The authorities must ensure presence of Adiala Jail prisoners in the court at all cost.”
This was stated by the Supreme Court of Pakistan while hearing the case, here on Friday.
The apex court scolded the Attorney General Irfan Qadir for not meeting the directions, and issued notices to the secretary defense and other concerned to explain their inaction.
Earlier, the AG said they could not materialize the orders because of time constraints in the backdrop of general elections in the country.
He furthered that he is willing to meet the directions of the court despite having reservations on the same. He assured that the law and interior ministries were informed of the orders.
The SCP adjourned the hearing till May 14.
