LAHORE: “The deployment of Pakistan Army personnel outside the polling stations is immensely important to ensure smooth elections.”
This was stated by the head of Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan, Syed Munawwar Hasan while speaking to the media, here on Saturday.
The JI chief said the caretaker government is not fulfilling its responsibility of taking measures to hold elections safe and sound.
He observed that those who permitted drone attacks are now complaining of the terrorism that has spread in the nook and corner of the country.
It may be mentioned here that the authorities had earlier said that Pakistan Army personnel would act as a rapid response force, while police, FC and Rangers will render services outside the polling stations.
