NASEERABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan has postponed polls in Jhal Magsi after three people including an independent candidate were shot dead, here on Tuesday.
Abdul Fatah was gunned down by unknown people in the PB 32 constituency, prompting the decision which also stated that fresh schedule of polls will be announced later.
This is the first incident of killing of an election candidate in the country, with statistics pointing towards volatile state of law and order in the metropolitan.
The situation calls for measures on war footing to ensure safety of elections candidates throughout the country on eve of general polls.
