KABUL: At least 13 Afghan soldiers were killed in Taliban attack near border with Pakistan, the country’s Defense Ministry said on Friday.
Ministry spokesman Gen. Mohammad Zahir Azimi said that the fighting began around dawn Friday in the Nari district of Kunar province.
The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack and say they have captured the outpost.
