MULTAN: The Institute of Social and Policy Sciences is going to organise ‘All Parties Conference’ on April 11 to secure the commitment of political parties’ for promoting education and particularly 100 per cent enrolment at schools.
The event is going to be held a month before the general election in which the participants and politicians will be asked to sign a declaration to be finalised after discussions.
ISAPS coordinator Altafullah Khan Nasooha said that the conference aimed at political advocacy and outreach support for transforming education in Pakistan.
The ISAPS coordinator added that if the current trends persisted than Pakistan would take another five decades to reach 100 per cent enrolment.
According to ISAPS official, the institute researches in five districts that is Multan, Lahore, Faisalabad, Rajanpur and Rawalpindi aimed at assessing development needs for promoting education and devising a strategy for expanding access to education.
