ISLAMABAD: European Union (EU) Chief Election Observer Michael Glare called on Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Mir Hazar Khan Khoso here on Monday.
Khoso, while talking to the representatives of the EU, said that the steps were being taken to hold free, fair and transparent election. “Special arrangements would be made for the foreign observers to monitor the election process,” the PM said.
Pakistan is all set to hold its general election in May 11 and it will be the first democratic transition of power in the history of Pakistan, which has undergone three periods of military rule.
The delegation of the observers will also meet the country’s Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim on Tuesday.
