Quetta: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ameer Mohammad and his guard were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Essa Nagri area of Quetta, a metropolitan of Pakistan, here on Monday.
According to rescue officials, the DSP was travelling in his car when he was targeted by unidentified motorcyclists. The DSP was initially injured by the attack but later succumbed to his his injuries on his way to the hospital.
Security officials cordoned off crime scene soon after the incident and began a search for the suspected attackers.
Last month, two security personnel were injured when a planted bomb targeted an FC vehicle in Quetta.
