Islamabad: Today (Sunday) has been set as the last day by the Election Commission of Pakistan to receive nomination paper from candidates all over the country for the forthcoming general elections.
According to the ECP, some 3,526 applications have been received in this regard, including 135 for 10 seats of minorities.
The process of scrutiny of the paper will commence tomorrow and will continue until 7th, while the first phase of the process has already been completed.
The commission has set April 8-10 as the date to file appeals against the papers.

Head of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (F), Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman filed nomination papers from NA27, while Chauhdry Nisar from NA52. Shah Zain Bugti submitted his application from NA266, PB26 and 27 for the elections.
