Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has barred Pakistan’s former president Pervez Musharraf to leave the country after his name was put on the Exit Control List (ECL).
The Ministry of Interior has sent a notification to the FIA Immigration in this regard.

Musharraf was granted a 21-day extension by the Sindh High Court (SHC) in the Benazir Bhutto assassination and Nawab Akbar Bugti case and ordered him to leave the country only after seeking permission of the respective courts.
A protester also threw show towards Musharraf during his appearance in the court yesterday.
Musharraf, the president of All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), will contest the coming polls from three constituencies – NA-48 in Islamabad, NA-250 in Karachi and NA-32 in Chitral.
