Apple is ready to begin its action for 2013 with the launch of iPhone 5S, and the much hyped cheaper iPhone from June or July.
This time a couple of analysts have come up with some clues.
“The production of cheaper iPhone is likely to start in June,” says Peter Misek, analyst of Jefferies and Company.
In addition, another analyst has confirmed that Apple is going to launch a cheaper iPhone this year to cater needs of emerging markets.
“Apple plans to launch the cheaper iPhone as well as iPhone 5S in June-July this year,” Amit Daryanani of RBC Capital Markets informed investors.
Budget iPhone Price and Display
The reports claim that cheaper iPhone from Apple will cost about $ 330, about half of the original non-contract iPhone.
The phone will have a 4 inch screen with plastic body to make it a cheaper model.
“The low-end iPhone will have the same 4-inch form factor as the iPhone 5, but will have a plastic casing and no ‘retina’ display,” Amit said.
However, there are contradictory rumours regarding the display.
Some reports of iLounge claim that the smartphone will have a Retina Display with new lighting connector for syncing and charging. Possibility is higher for a Retina display as Apple is known for using advanced technology in its devices.
iPhone 5S Price and Specs
The reports claim that iPhone 5S, upgraded model of iPhone 5, will have a A7 processor for an unprecedented speed. Besides, the anticipated smartphone will have a ‘Flash Light’ feature for the camera to capture quality photos even in varying lights.
The price of the device is likely to follow usual pricing strategy of Apple, i.e., 16 GB device with contract to cost $ 199 and so on.
