ISLAMABAD: Pakistan newly appointed caretaker Prime Minister Justice (retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso, who will take oath as premier on Monday, has said that he will quit if fails to hold electionon time.
The Election Commission of Pakistan appointed Khoso on Sunday after the country’s government and opposition and later an eight-member committee failed to select a person for the slot.
Soon after the notification of Khoso’s appointement, the caretaker prime minister was provided with the PM’s protocol.
The oath taking ceremony of caretaker prime minister would be held on Monday at 1:00pm in Awan-e-Sadr where President Asif Ali Zardari will administer oath.
Speaking to media, Khoso said that holding fair and transparent elections was his top priority, adding that caretaker cabinet would be small and consist of 10-12 members only.
