Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif is likely to forward an advice to the Governor Punjab Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mahmud for the dissolution of the provincial assembly.
According to sources, the decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Shahbaz Sharif which agreed that the advice would be sent to the governor in the next few hours.
Earlier in the day, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was dissolved after the advice sent by Chief Minister Ameer Haider Hoti, signed by Governor Engineer Shaukatullah.
Meanwhile, the eight-member committee formed to strike consensus on the nomination of a caretaker prime minister will meet tomorrow (Wednesday) at 02:30 PM.
