Rawalpindi: Former chairman of the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Tauqeer Sadiq has been declared as ‘proclaimed offender’ by the Accountability Court Rawalpindi.
The court also ordered authorities to confiscate Sadiq’s property.
The corruption case was heard by the court judge Shahid Hafeez.
NAB prosecutor requested for punishment under 31A due to continuous absence of Sadiq from the court proceedings, upon which the court declared the ex-OGRA chief a proclaimed offender.
The next hearing of the case was set for April 18.
