Lahore: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan will contest upcoming elections from the constituencies of Lahore and Mianwali, a party leader said on Friday.
Talking to media, PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhua (KPK) General Secretary, Shaukat Yousafzai said that Imran Khan has submitted applications for taking part in the elections from Lahore and Mianwali.
He further said that on the pressure of party activists, the PTI chief was also mulling over to take part in elections from Peshawar and Swat.
Yousafzai further said that the last date for the submission of applications from the election candidates is March 18 and the date would not be extended furthermore.
“We have directed the election panel of the party to not receive applications of those, who had not submitted tax returns of three years and their educational certificates,” he added.
