Quetta: The governor rule, which was imposed by the Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf two months ago, has came to its end automatically after the lapse of time period mentioned in the constitution.
The governor rule was imposed under the article 234 of the Pakistan’s constitution on the demand of the families of the Alamdar road blast victims, who staged a sit-in with more than 90 bodies in Quetta.
According to sources, the federal government ha not yet decided the fate of the province as to whether the provincial government would continue or the governor rule would be imposed for another two months.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Aslam Raisani has summoned a meeting of government allies in the province in Islamabad, capital of Pakistan, to discuss the future of the assembly and appointment of caretaker chief minister in the province.
With new things happening, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) has decide to sit in the opposition benches.
