Apple is working out for a methodology to harness solar power for next generation devices including iPhone 6 and iPad’s Smart Cover.
Apple has already introduced in-cell technology into iPhone 5 which was dubbed as ‘integrated touch’. Now its working on something better for the next generation devices.
“Apple is working on this same principle except this time around it’s for integrating special solar technology right into future touch displays,” PatentlyApple said.
A report also discusses a new material named graphene that could advance gadgets like night vision glasses, cameras and yes, solar cells.
Of course, iPhone devices will not have them so quickly but Apple’s advanced Research and Development Teams will hopefully be able soon to include integrated solar penal technology in iPhones.
Once this is achieved, it’s importance is immense. This will let a user to run its iPhone or iPad or any other iDevice without fearing running out of power.
This will also usher a new era of features that need much power that the present generation smartphones are not capable of. So keep your fingers cross in wait of this amazing technology.
