Karachi: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday dismissed the petitions filed by SSP Thatta and SSP Hyderabad against their suspension.
A larger bench of the apex court headed by Justice Anwer Zaheer Jamali continued the hearing over the Karachi law and order case at the Karachi registry.
During the hearing, the bench rejected the petitions and directed the officers to resolve the cases filed against them.
SSP Hyderabad Farrukh Basheer and SSP Thatta Farid Jan Sarhandi prayed the court to order their reinstatement saying they were removed from their jobs in an illegal manner.
The bench remarked that it had not issued any order against any specific officer. “The petitioners should resolve the cases filed against them before approaching the court,” the judges remarked.
