Islamabad: Pakistan has earned more than US $ 1.05 billion through exports of seafood to different countries during last five years.
Of the total exports, in 2007-08 the country earned US $ 132 million, in 2007-08 US $ 133 million, in 2008-09 US $ 185 million, in 2009-10 US $ 191 million, in 2010-11 US $ 253 million in 2011-12, US $ 286 million were contributed to national exchequer through seafood exports, APP reported.
According to an official at Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS), more markets are being explored to enhance seafood exports.
