Karachi: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lawmakers in Sindh Assembly called on acting speaker Syeda Shehla Raza here in Karachi on Wednesday.
Sources said that the MQM lawmakers had submitted an application to allot opposition benched to their member and appoint Amir Moin Pirzada as opposition leader in the SA.
Earlier, the MQM had nominated Syed Sardar Ahmed as their opposition leader in the SA.
The MQM parted its ways with the PPP government over withdrawing of cases against Lyari gang war criminals.
