Washington: Boeing said Friday it was “encouraged” by progress in the air-safety investigation of overheated batteries in its 787 Dreamliner aircraft that resulted in their global grounding.
“We are encouraged by the progress being made toward resolving the issue and returning the 787 to flight for our customers and their passengers around the world,” a Boeing spokesman said after a top executive met with the head of the Federal Aviation Administration.
