Faisalabad: The Punjab police on Friday launched a massive operation against the people violating the ban imposed by the provincial government on kite flying.
According to sources, the operation was launched after the death of a 9-year old boy, in Liaquatabad area of the city after falling from the roof top of his house while running after the kite.
The police arrested almost 1000 people and have seized several shops for violating ban on the kite selling. The arrested people will be presented in the courts within 24 hours.
