Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Friday said that the miscreant elements were using illegal SIMs in targeted killings, kidnappings for ransom, bomb blast and other activities.
Giving his remarks during the Balochistan Law and Order case, the CJP Iftikhar said that the members of banned outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan were also contacting each other through these illegal SIMs.
“The illegal SIMs are even sold out at the medical stores and footpaths,” he said adding that the province has become safe haven for the criminals.
The court also directed the Balochistan authorities to enforce civil authority in Dera Bugti without the presence of Frontier Constabulary adding the authorities should also bring back the natives of the area so that they could take part in the electoral process of their area.
The court further criticized the FC behavior and said that it seemed from the attitude of the law enforcement authorities that they had conquered the Dera Bugti.
