Karachi: At least 15 people were killed in different incidents of violence in Pakistan’s financial hub Kara chi on Monday.
The areas where killings took place include Landhi Sherpao Colony, Lyari, Safora Chowrangi, Ahsanabad, Abul Hasan Isfahani Road, Garden and Gulshan-i-Iqbal.
Unknown people reportedly shut down shops in some areas.
Meanwhile, special investigation department of CID police has arrested three people including two alleged members of banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) when they raided Manghopir and Shershah areas.
Police said the arrested were involved in various criminal activities including extortion and targeted killings.
Killing of 10 to 15 people has been a routine in the city where around 2,000 people lost their lives in 2012.
