Islamabad: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Founder Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that he does not believe his petition will delay the elections.
Talking to reporters outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan building on Monday before the hearing of his petition regarding reconstitution of the Election Commission, Qadri said that it was the EC’s responsibility to fulfill the criterion to ensure free and fair elections.
He said that the organization which was responsible to ensure transparent election itself not formed in the line with the Constitution.
Replying to a query, Qadri said that he did not think his petition could delay to the polls, adding that he wanted free and fair elections.
