Karachi: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has stopped its oil supplies to PIA on the non-payment of Rs 1.7 billion bill on Friday for quite long period.
Official sources said that PSO has discontinued the jet fuel supplies for PIA’s ATR planes operate long routes flights on different destinations countrywide, asking the management of national flag carrier to make payments of accumulated bills.
PIA MD assured PSO counterpart that a big chunk of payment will be made on Monday to State-own Oil Marketing Company (OMC) and requested him to restore supplies on the assurance.
Later on, PSO restored oil supplies to ATR planes after cutting it for few hours.
