Jamshoro: Sindh police on Wednesday arrested 30 employees of University of Sindh (SU) after registering cases against 150.
According to sources, the SU employees have been protesting for last 44 days. During protest on Tuesday they clashed with police. Resultantly, six people including Superintendent of Police (SP) Headquarter (HQ) Jamshoro, Wasi Hyder were injured.
Afterwards police registered two cases against 150 protestors under an Anti-terrorism Act and arrested 30 of them.
Teaching staff in different institutions across the province suspended educational activities and observed strike against the arrest of the SU employees.
