Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Monday approved the summary to grant university status to Dawood College of Engineering and Technology (DCET) Karachi.
Senate secretariat already approved the summary on December 11, 2010 but the College was devolved to the Sindh government under the 18th Amendment on 5th April 2011.
Sindh education secretary Siddiq Memon moved the summary to the CM for approval on November 1, 2011.
The bill in this regards will be tabled in the coming session of the Sindh Assembly.
