Bethlehem: Israeli military raided the Palestinian protesters in the village of Bab Al Karameh in Beit Iksa, northwest of Jerusalem on Monday,injuring several people and demolishing village’s mosque.
According to the Palestinian News Network, the troops invaded the village with almost 30 military vehicles and a bulldozer. They attacked the activists and pushed them towards Beit Iksa nearby village.
According to Israelis, the exercise was done in order to prevent dozens of Palestinians from reaching a nearby military area in Bab al-Karameh village.
Several Palestinian protestors were reportedly injured when Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated bullets and tear gas bombs.
Meanwhile, Hamas Media Bureau issued a report on escalating Israeli settlement schemes over the past year, saying that the settlements have increased four times in 2012 compared to 2011.
